Reading the Cost Breakdown Before You Confirm
What the order review screen shows — commission, FX and total — before you confirm.
Before you confirm any buy or sell order, the app shows you a review screen that itemizes every part of the cost. It is important to read this screen fully before pressing confirm, because it answers one simple question: "what will I actually pay, and for what?" The review screen typically includes: the base trade value, then the Trading Commission — a token fee the broker charges for executing the order — then the FX (Foreign Exchange) amount resulting from converting your funding currency into US dollars, and finally the grand total that will be debited from or added to your balance. Numbers are shown in both your funding currency and US dollars. This transparency exists for one reason: so you are never surprised by a fee you did not expect. If any line item is unclear, you can look up its explanation before continuing.
Illustrative example
Suppose you entered {workedExampleTradeKwd} (in your funding currency) to buy a fictional company's share. The review screen shows: the base amount, then a commission of {commissionPct} with a minimum of {commissionMinKwd} (in your funding currency), then an FX fee of {fxMarkupPct}, then the final total. This is an illustrative example — actual rates and limits are shown from the platform's own configuration.
Common mistake
Some users press "confirm" right away without reading the cost details, then are surprised to find a commission or FX fee they did not notice. Reading the full review screen before every confirmation prevents this surprise.
Quick check
What is the purpose of the order review screen?
To show every cost component before final confirmation — it gives you a chance to check before an action that is not easily reversed.
What is the trading commission?
A token fee the broker charges for executing the order — because the broker provides access to the market and executes the trade on your behalf.
In which currencies are the numbers shown on the review screen?
In both your funding currency and US dollars — because trading executes in dollars while your input and primary display is in your funding currency.
Try it: Open the order review screen and look at every cost line item before confirming (screen: IW-08).
